Baps Swaminarayan Sanstha

BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, plays a huge role in maintaining Hindu Culture and connects individuals spiritually and inoculates positive values of kindness, generosity, discipline. The Sanstha has many schools in different cities for boys and girls. One such school is in UKAI, a small village where tribal communities’ lives and access to education is difficult. Palan Foundation believes in educational advancement and relieves the hardships of young children by doing meaningful work by supporting BAPS projects.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj

Kumar Chatralaya in Ukai was established by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The aim was to provide an ideal academic and moral ambiance for students. The serene pollution-free environment and state of art facilities make Chatralaya an authentic academically and moral oasis.

Currently, Chatralaya provides accommodation to 136 students. The modern and hygienic kitchen facilities provide hot, vegetarian meals. The Chatralaya has a general store that provides stationery and consumer goods at subsidized rates. To attain academic excellence extra tuitions are provided with no extra costs.

Extra-curricular Activities

Extra-curricular social activities such as a collection of relief materials for the earthquake – affected, drought and flood-affected. To channelize the creative energy of students many music and cultural programs are organised. Facilities of the Library, computer center, and recreation center are available for students to read, learn and play sports respectively.

A school in such an area helps young boys to gain education and an opportunity to develop skills and fulfill their aspirations and become better people. There are many social and political dignitaries who have appreciated BAPS for their work towards society.
